This year, we are excited to have a booth at the ISSA/Interclean Conference in Las Vegas. We hope many of you stop by to visit us at booth # 4081 (near the Education Theater).

This year’s booth will be staffed by Steve Ashkin, David Holly who directs our Green Distributor Program (coauthor of Green Cleaning for Dummies and Green Selling Tips, and our new book from IFMA titled The Business of Green Cleaning), Jeff Pease who directs our Green Distributor Sales Management Program and Cynthia Schultz who manages our newest initiative on Sustainability and is developing our Sustainability Dashboard which I think you’ll find very interesting.

We are also doing something a little different this year as our booth will not have carpeting. We’re doing this to illustrate how we need to think differently about how we do things and to demonstrate how in every decision there are opportunities to reduce our environmental impacts.

And the fact, conventions use millions of square feet of carpeting that consume nonrenewable natural resources and are typically sent to landfills at the end of their life. By not using carpets we have reduced our environmental footprint and the money saved was used to sponsor ISSA’s recycling stations at the Convention.

We will also be doing a number of educational sessions. On Monday from 3:00PM to 4:00PM we will be conducting an introductory program covering the basics of developing a comprehensive Green Cleaning program. Then on Monday from 4:15PM to 5:15PM we will be conducting an advanced program discussing next steps for distributors and facility service providers as the marketplace accelerates its adoption of all things green. And please join us in the Education Theater on Tuesday from 2:30PM to 3:30PM where I will be giving an update on LEED-EB.
